An asymmetry based on the study of the foot

Michelin innovates by designing the XAS, a precursor of tyres with asymmetric tread patterns. The asymmetry of our feet is taken as a reference to define the different tasks to be performed by the inner and outer sides of the tyre to optimally balance the car. Shoulders, sidewalls, crown, each sector is specifically optimised to contribute its share.
